Arrival and First Meeting of our Exchange Partners
On Sunday morning we met at Cologne
airport to fly to Munich. When we landed, we were quite in a hurry because our
second plane was about to start right after. Luckily we got there in time and
at about eleven o’clock we were already on our way to Israel.
After a flight of three hours, we arrived in Tel Aviv. We were extremely tired but so amazed by the astonishing city which looked beautiful by night time. Some of the Israeli parents drove us to school and everybody was a little nervous to finally meet their exchange partners, - we already texted them via social media and they seemed to be really nice and open minded about the project.
At the Ironi Alef Highschool, we got a big
welcome by the school with a buffet of traditional Israeli food (Hummus, Tahina, fresh fruits and vegetables, cakes, etc.). It was a nice opportunity get to know the Israeli students and teachers. After
that, we left the school with our exchange partners. Some of us went straight into the
city; a lot of us also just went home because it was such a long and exhausting day although it was very exciting.
Everyone was absolutely enthusiastic
about what will expect us in the following ten days!
Vered Gotal, the principal of the Art Section of Ironi Alef Highschool, welcoming us :-)
