Day 1: First Tour of Orientation in Tel Aviv 19/11/2018

Tel Aviv is a really busy city. Traffic is everywhere and you need to keep your attention on the streets in order to avoid any accidents. Especially bicyclists and scooter drivers are driving quite reckless, here.
Today, we met at 8 am at the Ironi Alef Art School and then first had an interesting feedback round about our experiences in the host families. Some of us live outside of Tel Aviv in the countryside, some have a lot of pets in their host families such as two parrots (constantly screaming and speaking in Hebrew), cats, dogs. Everybody had to tell nice things about their family...

We proceeded in walking right down the famous Rothschild Boulevard towards the sea...
The city scape is very diverse in view of the elderly, broken down buildings and the completely advanced, modern constructions. But more about this later. We passed through Neve Tsedek, which is older than Tel Aviv itself ....

...and arrived at the sea.

We were very impressed. The water is very pretty, it's really clear and blue. Also we almost had the beach to ourselves, for the Israelis the water was too cold, even though it was 26 degrees outside. Most of our exchange students were wearing sweaters and long jeans this morning while we were sweating in our short summer clothes.
At 3 pm we met at the school again. We all came together in a room and started planning our project. The musician group went into the music rooms to rehearse our arrangements. The cinema department split into three smaller groups to envision a story for our movie. Tomorrow we're going to continue working in our departures.

All in all we had a great start in this adventure,
Schalom!
